Arizona

I've spent the past few days in the sunny state of Arizona, first in Tucson and now in Phoenix.  In Phoenix, or more precisely Ft. McDowell I played both of the We-Ko-Pa courses.  Both the Saquaro and Cholla courses are very well manicured and the greens are superb and fast.  Good luck on getting the speeds right on your putts.  I say just hit the hole and not worry about the speed.  Ha!

Of the two Cholla is definitely my favorite.  Are either in my top courses, I'd probably have to say no.  Not that they weren't great courses, they were.  I just like water on my courses.  As for contrast there was plenty of that - desert everywhere except on the fairways and greens.  Looking off many of the tees you have the beautiful vista of rugged, red-hued mountains.

Enjoy the pics, there may not be many more as I'm definitely beginning to think I might not be able to continue playing the courses I want to play since I have a new child I'm traveling with.  She is in a couple of the pics with me.  I just can't bring myself to leaving her in the van for 4-6 hours and I'm finding most of the better courses really don't want you to bring a dog on the course.  Can you believe that????  lol

Till next time...................
